Toxoplasm Antigen Test Card (TOXO-Ag)

This product is used for rapid and qualitative detection of Toxoplasma antigen in dog/cat feces for screening and diagnosis of toxoplasma infection.

After toxoplasma gondii infects animals, the body produces immunoglobulin, which disappears in about three weeks.

The production of immunoglobulins begins about a week after infection and can persist in the body for years, even decades.

When the test is positive, the animal is in an acute stage of infection with Toxoplasma gondii.

Specification: 10 pieces/box.

Test sample: fresh feces of dogs/cats.

The Way for Using of Toxoplasm Antigen Test Card (TOXO-Ag)

Before adding sample, read the instruction carefully and restore the test card, diluent and sample to room temperature.

1. Open the bottle cap of the dilution tube, insert the tail of the cotton swab into the inner groove of the bottle cap and fix it so that it will not fall off. Take appropriate fresh samples with the cotton swab;

2. Put the cotton swabs after sample collection into the diluted bottle, tighten the cap and shake the bottle slightly for 15s, and let the sample liquid stand for 2 minutes;

3. Place the test card on the horizontal table, break the bottle mouth of the dilution tube, and slowly add 2-3 drops to the sample hole (S) of the test card;

4. Interpretation results within 5-15 minutes are invalid if the interpretation results exceed 15 minutes.

Interpretation of Toxoplasm Antigen Test Card (TOXO-Ag) Test Results

Positive (+): two red bands appear. One is located in the detection area (T) and the other is located in the quality control area (C). Positive results indicated that the samples contained toxoplasma antigen.

Negative (-): only a red band appears in the quality control area (C). No red strip appeared in the detection area (T). A negative result indicates either no toxoplasma antigen in the sample or less than detectable.

Invalid: There is no red strip in the quality control area (C). Regardless of whether there is a red strip in the test area (T), the card is deemed invalid. Indicates incorrect operation or deterioration of the card. At this point, read the instructions carefully again and re-use a new test card.
