This product can be used for rapid qualitative detection of cat distemper virus antigen in cat feces, screening and auxiliary diagnosis of cat distemper virus infection.
Cat distemper is also known as feline panleukopenia or feline infectious enteritis. It is a highly contagious viral disease that occurs mainly in kittens less than one year old.
Clinical symptoms include fever, leukopenia, vomiting and hemorrhagic enteritis. It is the most common and dangerous infectious disease in domestic cats.
Specification: 10 pieces/box.
Test sample: fresh cat faeces.
Read the instructions carefully before use, and restore the test card, diluent and sample to room temperature.
1. Open the bottle cap of the dilution tube, insert the tail of the cotton swab into the inner groove of the bottle cap and fix it so that it will not fall off. Take appropriate fresh samples with the cotton swab;
2. Put the cotton swabs after sample collection into the diluted bottle, tighten the cap and shake the bottle slightly for 15s, and let the sample liquid stand for 2 minutes;
3. Place the test card on the horizontal table, break the bottle mouth of the dilution tube, and slowly add 2-3 drops to the sample hole (S) of the test card;
4. Interpretation results within 15 minutes, interpretation results over 15 minutes are invalid.
Positive (+): two red bands appear. One is located in the detection area (T) and the other is located in the quality control area (C). Positive results showed that the sample contained cat distemper virus.
Negative (-): only a red band appears in the quality control area (C). No red strip appeared in the detection area (T). A negative result indicates that there is no cat distemper virus in the sample or that the level is below the detectable range.
Invalid: There is no red strip in the quality control area (C). Regardless of whether there is a red strip in the test area (T), the card is deemed invalid. Indicates an incorrect operation.
