Canine Parvovirus Test Card (CPV-Ag)

This product is used for rapid qualitative detection of canine parvovirus antigen in dog feces for screening and diagnosis of canine parvovirus infection.

Canine parvovirus is an infectious virus that mainly infects dogs. The disease is highly contagious and is spread between dogs through direct or indirect contact with their faeces.

Symptoms are particularly severe in puppies that are not protected by maternal antibodies or vaccines. There are two phenotypes of the disease: myocarditis and enteritis.

The common symptoms of enteritis are severe vomiting and severe hemorrhagic diarrhea. Myocarditis can cause respiratory and cardiovascular failure in puppies.

The Way for Using of Canine Parvovirus Test Card (CPV-Ag)


Read the instructions carefully before use, and restore the test card, diluent and sample to room temperature.

1. Open the bottle cap of the dilution tube, insert the tail of the cotton swab into the inner groove of the bottle cap and fix it so that it will not fall off. Take appropriate fresh samples with the cotton swab.

2. Put the cotton swabs after sample collection into the diluted bottle, tighten the cap and shake the bottle slightly for 15s, and let the sample liquid stand for 2 minutes.

3. Place the test card on the horizontal table, break the bottle mouth of the dilution tube, and slowly add 2-3 drops to the sample hole (S) of the test card.

4. Interpretation results within 15 minutes are invalid if the interpretation results exceed 15 minutes.

Interpretation of Canine Parvovirus Test Card (CPV-Ag) Test Results


Positive (+) : two red bands appear. One is located in the detection area (T) and the other is located in the quality control area (C). Positive results showed that the sample contained canine parvovirus.

Negative (-) : only a red band appears in the quality control area (C). No red strip appeared in the detection area (T). A negative result indicates that canine parvovirus was not detected in the sample or was below the detectable range.

Invalid: Quality control area (C) is not out.
